Kids find joy in the littlest things. Peyton got a kick out of sitting in our tailgating cooler.
Our house had been on the market for a few months and it finally sold! We planned to settle on September 19. We were busy packing and fixing the last few things that our buyers wanted fixed. Peyton wanted to help his daddy with the tools!
Right before we moved, Peyton started walking. I don't think he sat still for a week after that. Since he could walk, he didn't want to do anything else but walk. Actually, I'm not sure that he ever walked. I think he started out running! Here is a short video of Peyton walking. Sorry, it's a little dark.
Peyton was completely unfazed by our move. He picked up in the new house exactly where he left off in the old house. I think he likes our new house because it is so much bigger than our old house. That means that there is more room for him to run around! The way that our house is set up, you can make a complete circle from the front door, through the living room, through the kitchen, and back to the front door. Peyton ran that circle many, many times. His new room is also twice as big as his old room. He even has a big walk-in closet. We really love our new house!
I think Peyton might be a chef when he grows up because he just loves playing with my pots, pans, strainers, and rolling pin. Whatever keeps him happy, right?
This month Peyton also started saying the words "ball" and "hi." I wasn't surprised at all that "ball" was his second word because balls are his very favorite toy. He also started rebelling against baby food during September. First he refused to eat cereal. Then he stopped eating the fruits and vegetables too. But that's ok because he was getting better and better at feeding himself "real" food. Where did our baby go?
