On January 2, I went back to work. This meant that it was Peyton's first day of daycare. I dressed him up in his cutest outfit.
It was pretty difficult for me to leave him at daycare. I actually took him there one day before Christmas as a "practice" day. It was more a practice for me then him. Haha. I stayed that day for about an hour and talked with him new teacher to get to know her and to check out how things worked. Then I left him there alone for about 2 ours. I made sure to save up lots of errands to run that day so that my mind could be focused on other things. I picked him up and he was ok. That day helped me be a little more comfortable with leaving him there full time.
That first day of work was tough. I couldn't wait to get out of there and back to pick up Peyton. When I got to daycare, he was sitting in a bouncy-seat facing away from me. When I turned him around, he got the biggest smile on his face. It was one of the best moments with him so far. I knew, from that huge smile, that he loves me as much as I love him! It got a little easier each day to drop him off.
At Peyton's 3-month check-up, we found out that he was 24 inches long and up to 11 lb 5 oz. Peyton started sticking his tongue out a lot this month.
The rest of the month was just spent hanging out and playing with Peyton.
Peyton even enjoyed watching his first Maryland basketball game!
I just loved Peyton in this snow suit. It kept him super warm whenever we went outside.
