A lot of March, like most other months actually, was spent playing. Mr. Conceited liked to look at himself in the mirror anytime he got the chance. We'd prop this mirror up so that Peyton would enjoy his tummy time a little more. Since he could sit up on his own, we also spent a lot of time playing on the floor. Mostly, the toys were just used to chew on.
We took Peyton to the Baltimore Aquarium on March 14. He got the Fisher Price aquarium that attaches to the crib for Christmas, and he enjoyed looking at the fish in there. We thought that he'd also like seeing some real fish. I'm not sure he really "got it" but I think he still had a good time. Kyle had never been to the aquarium and I hadn't been there for years. We had fun too. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
Peyton's first St. Patrick's Day was March 17. Duh. Anyway, my parents bought him another special outfit to wear on that day. We aren't very Irish, so we really didn't do anything to celebrate.
Easter was on March 23. We took Peyton to see the Easter Bunny earlier in the month. He wasn't scared or anything.
We dyed Easter eggs the night before Easter. Peyton had fun sitting on the counter watching us.
This is what the Easter Bunny left for Peyton. He's pretty spoiled, I'd say! He got a really cool laptop, lots of books, some candy, and a few other small toys.
Peyton really liked his Easter baskets!
Here is Peyton all dressed up in his Easter outfit. We took him to church and he did really well. He didn't cry at all. What an angel!
After dinner on Easter, Kyle and I headed down to Washington D.C. for a Wizards game. They were playing the Pistons that night. Unfortunately, the Pistons lost, but we still had a good time.
We got these wigs at the basketball game. They were free handouts. Of course we didn't wear them at the game, because we were cheering for the Pistons, not those stinky Wizards. Kyle and Mini-Kyle looked pretty good in them, though. Don't you think?
In order to be fair, we dressed Peyton up in his Michigan State gear for him to watch his first State basketball game. Aunt Kate bought him this shirt. Since you can't really see it, it says "My first Michigan State shirt."
Peyton got to be too big for the table-top bathtub, so he graduated to the big tub. He loves, loves, loves taking baths! We got him some squirt toys and when we'd spray water at him, he would try to catch it. It was the cutest thing!
This month Peyton was 26 1/4 inches and 13 lb 13 oz. He was talking and giggling nonstop. He even said "mama" this month. Of course he didn't mean me, but I was just happy that sound came out before "dada". Haha! Peyton was also obsessed with tags. He'd go right for the tag on a blanket or any toys that had them.
