Snow!

Yesterday when we went to work, the weather forecast was that it was going to snow 8-12 inches on Saturday. By the time we left work, the forecast was up to 15 to 25 inches of snow. It started snowing last night around 9:00. It's about 5:30 now, and it hasn't stopped at all. We're estimating that there is about 20-24 inches of snow out there already. The snow is supposed to continue until tomorrow morning around 6:00 am. So who knows how many more inches we'll get before the snow stops.

Peyton couldn't wait to get outside to play in the snow. He loved it the last time it snowed. When he woke up from his nap, I got him dressed for outside. We put lots of layers on. Grandmom bought Peyton some boots last night (Thanks!), so we put those on too. The boots must have been uncomfortable or strange to him, because he was walking around like he was just learning to walk. We added Peyton's hat and gloves and then he and Kyle headed outside. I passed on playing in the snow this time and just took pictures from inside the house instead!

Kyle carried Peyton outside and then plopped him down into the snow. We were trying to gauge how deep the snow was. In this picture, Peyton is standing up, even though it looks like he's sitting. The snow is up to his waist! Kyle said he wasn't even standing on the ground either, but on some packed snow.

When Peyton tried to move, he couldn't and said, "I'm stuck!" The snow was just too deep for him to be able to go anywhere. He tried to walk a few times, but just fell over. He got pretty frustrated pretty quickly.

My Snowmen!

The boys were only outside for about 5 minutes when Peyton completely gave up and asked to come inside. He didn't like playing in the snow this time!
