On Saturday, we had our first snow fall of the year. It was only raining when Peyton and I woke up, but it soon switched to snow. The flakes were huge and it was snowing pretty hard throughout the day. It snowed for a good 10 hours. The grass, cars, and sidewalks were covered, but nothing laid on the roads. When Peyton woke up from his nap, the three of us went outside to play in the snow. It was the first time that Peyton has ever played in the snow. (We only had one snowfall last year, and we just didn't take him out in it.)
Here's Peyton as soon as he stepped outside into the snow. He loved it!
Kyle and Peyton immediately got into a snowball fight. Peyton had a great time picking up snow, making it into a ball, and trying to hit Kyle and I with it. Thankfully, he wasn't too successful.
Kyle, however, was successful at hitting his target. He threw a snowball at me and it was packed so well that it hurt! Since the snow was packing so well, we decided to make a snowman. Here is Peyton and I with the finished product. Our snowman is a Lions fan, I guess.
Kyle made one more giant snowball. He and Peyton were taking turns standing on it. Peyton really enjoyed that too.
We also tried to show Peyton how to make a snow angel, but he didn't really understand. He tried though.
The rest of the time we were outside Peyton just ran around in circles with a big smile on his face. He also kept picking up and throwing handfuls of snow. He was having such a good time. We had to make him go inside though because he was clearly freezing. He didn't want to go inside at all. Neither did Kyle...
