On Saturday, Kyle, Peyton and I took a drive down to Virginia to visit with Kate, Dave, and Noah. Peyton was excited to see baby Noah again. Peyton slept late (as is his new usual!) so we decided to let him skip his nap at home and just sleep in the car on the way to Virginia. That plan worked out well, because there was, of course, traffic on the beltway. He got in a decent nap before we arrived.
There were lots of hugs given

We just hung out and chatted. Kate made some Mexican lasagna for dinner. I made a chocolate mint cake for dessert. Everyone agreed that it was very rich and very minty, so I might not make that one again. After dinner, we chilled a little more before heading home. Peyton passed out in the car on the way home and barely woke up when I changed his diaper and put him into his pajamas. When that happens, we know he had a good time.
On Sunday, the weather was just beautiful, so we decided to go to the Orioles game. This was Peyton's second baseball game, but first of this season. We got really good seats, just to the first base side of home plate. We were in the third row of the upper deck, so the view was fantastic. We also happened to be in the shade, so that was really nice.

After the 7th inning, Peyton asked, "Buh-byes?" then stood up, waved and yelled, "Bye baseball!" We took that to mean that he was ready to go home, so that's when we left. The Orioles won 5-2. Yay!
It was classics day (or something like that) at the park, so there were $1 hot dogs and $1 sodas. Anyone who's ever been to a game knows that is a huge deal. We got our eat and drink on before the game. During the game, Peyton did really well. He took turns between sitting in his seat and on our laps. He cheered "Go Orioles!" and "Home run" throughout the game. Pie hit a home run for the Orioles, but Peyton looked more scared than excited because everyone was going crazy. I don't think he really understood what was going on. They played the "Do-do-do-do-do-do-CHARGE!" music a lot during the game. Peyton was usually late yelling "charge" but by the later innings, he was getting the hang of it. He was really cute all day.

Since the game started at 1:35, Peyton did not get to take a nap. He fell asleep for maybe 10 minutes on the way downtown, but that was not nearly enough sleep for him. Even though he didn't take a nap, he was extremely well behaved. He was dead before we got out of the city on the way home though. Since he didn't even stir when I took him out of the car when we got home at 4:15, we decided to put him upstairs and let him sleep for a little while. Kyle woke him back up around 5:00 because we still wanted him to go to bed at his normal time that night. Peyton was definitely not ready to be awake yet! He cuddled with Kyle on the couch and before we knew it, he was hunched over and snoring. He dozed on and off for a little while longer. Once dinner was ready though, he was awake and ready to eat.
Sunday evening we had our fantasy football draft. It was nice to chat with everyone while we were drafting. I think I have a pretty decent team, but we'll see. I just need to beat Kyle!
